Wire Classes
We offer a variety of jewelry making classes at The Twisted Bead & Rock Shop. Below is a list of our wire classes, which are perfect for beginners and skilled jewelry-makers alike. If you see a class you’re interested in, see our class schedule to sign up for the next class. If there’s a class you’re interested in that’s not scheduled, call us at 410-956-5529 or fill out our contact form and let us know which class you’re interested in and a couple of days that you could come in for the class and we will schedule the class. Wire Bird Nest Class
In this Wire Bird Nest Class, you will learn how to create a beautiful pendant with a matching set of earrings. You will learn how to use beads in a new way encapsulating them in the wire to create a one-of-a-kind nest. You can use a variety of beads to fit your style and needs. No experience is necessary to join this class.

Basic Wire Wrapping
In this introductory wire wrapping class, we will cover all the basic fundamentals of wire. Learn everything you need to make the right decisions about which wire to use for your project.
Class includes an overview of wire types, gauge, characteristics and tools needed to start playing with wire. Students will leave with one or two free form wire-wrapped sea glass pendants. You are also welcome to bring pieces of your own to wrap. If you have tools you may bring them for a tool assessment.

Earrings Class, Loop & Wrap
Students will design and make drop earrings using pliers and wire cutters. Bring or choose beads from our vast selection to make two or three pairs of your own unique earrings. This loop and wrap technique can also be used to make pendants, bracelets, necklaces, dangles and much more.

Wire Wrapped Cabochon class
Learn to wire wrap a cabochon, while advancing beyond the basic wire wrapping technique. You will use square and half-round wire to wrap a cabochon of your choice. You may select sterling silver or solid copper wire to learn how to do this hidden-end bail wrap.
Pre-requisite: Basic Wire Wrapping
Class fee: $65 + materials, $20 deposit is required at time of registration.

Wire Crochet
Using 28 gauge wire, a selection of beads, and the basic crochet stitch, students will create their own beautiful, one-of-a-kind bracelet.
Experience with the basic slip stitch is helpful, but not required.

Tree of Life
Create your own unique tree of life pendant. Remind yourself of your connectedness to Mother Earth, your family roots or your self growth on your life journey. You will learn to shape wire to form the bezel and add realistic branches and a trunk to this Tree of Life pendant. Students may use their choice of small gemstone chips, Czech glass crystals, or seed beads.

Herringbone Wire Bracelet
Use 22 gauge wire to create this beautiful herringbone wire bracelet with your choice of beads. Previous wire experience helpful but not necessary.

Wire Wrapped Ring
In our wire wrapped ring class you will learn to construct two types rings using a few easy wrapping techniques. Create a sparkling crystal ring or a simple rosette in this fun class. No wire experience necessary.
Class instruction will cover an overview of tools and wire gauge. Students are welcome to bring their own tools otherwise tools will be provided

Ice Resin
Using Ice Resin students will learn to shape their own wire form and add tiny treasures to encapsulate them forever in a wearable piece of art. You will create two unique pendants.
Bring a special treasure to add to your piece! Suggested items: photos, beads, glass, glitter, sequins, plastic toys, ribbon, buttons, dried flowers, leaves, grass, four leaf clover, twigs, sand, shells, pearls, pebbles, feathers, metal, wire, screws, nuts, watch parts, keys, etc.
Minimum age: 10 years old. Experience working with wire is helpful, but not mandatory.
