Who makes the jewelry you sell in the store?
The ready-made jewelry is a group effort by Michele and Sharon. We also carry a selection of pieces made by local artists. Visit our local artists and business page under the about us tab to check out their websites or visit The Twisted Bead to purchase a unique handmade gift for yourself, a friend, or a loved one.
I need something that you currently don’t have in stock. Could you order it for me?
Yes. Please keep in mind that special requests may take up to 2 weeks to receive, depending on when our last order was placed. Some orders we receive in 2 days others take up to 2 weeks. Let us know the urgency of your need and we will do our very best to accommodate your request. If an item is back-ordered from our supplier, we will let you know.
My schedule won’t allow me to attend any of the classes I’m interested in! Can I schedule an appointment?
Yes! We offer over 30 different classes. If there is a class you are interested in, please call us or send an online request and provide a couple of dates and times that are good for your schedule. We also offer one-on-one classes for particular topics you may want to focus on. Some restrictions apply, such as classes offered by guest instructors.
What is the Beader Program?
As a thank you to our regular customers, you’ll receive 25 Beader Dollars to use toward future purchases after you spend $350. This program is only available to our in-store customers and some items are excluded from this program.
Do you offer any discounts?
We give a 10% discount for students and military with valid ID.
Do you sell crystals?
Yes our store is equally devoted to beading supplies and healing stones, we have tumbled, rough, palm, and carved stones covering a large variety. We are knowledgeable about most of their properties but if you wanted to learn more about a crystal we have a few fantastic resources that you are more than welcome to use when you visit our store!
Do you sell sage?
Yes, we sell grey and white sage grown and sourced ethically, and we make sure our stock is always fresh. We also sell other smoke cleansers such as cedar, palo santo, lavender, and frankincense, and are always adding more!
Do you sell any divination tools/metaphysical supplies?
Yes! We sell tarot and oracle cards as well as pendants and grid boards alongside our healing stones.
Do you have space to accommodate groups?
Yes, we have hosted groups of all ages, Pre-School, Girl Scouts, and Ladies Night in our Design Studio. The Twisted Bead is a great place to learn or revisit beading. Beading is helpful in developing or maintaining dexterity, great for the young and young at heart. Girls Scouts can choose from a variety of techniques to earn their Jewelry badge. And for those ladies’ groups out there, share your get-together and leave with a finished piece of jewelry. Visit our parties page for more details or feel free to give us a call.
Is your store accessible?
Yes. In addition to the accessible parking provided by the shopping center, our shop is wheelchair accessible — including the bathroom. We can also adjust or modify our classes to fit an individual’s needs. Everyone is welcome at The Twisted Bead & Rock Shop. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
Can I bring in my project and work in the studio?
Yes. We would appreciate a phone call in advance if you plan to do so, this way we can ensure there won’t be any classes or party’s going on that would limit your space and experience.
What is your return policy?
Returned items are for exchange or store credit only within 2 weeks of purchase. Please bring your original receipt and the item in purchased condition. Items that are not returnable include beading wire, gauge wire (coiled and spooled), cut chain and leather, sterling silver findings, and custom orders.
Do you sell gift cards?
Gift cards are the perfect gift for someone who loves or makes unique handmade jewelry. Gifts cards are available for any amount in-store and online. Please call the store and we will be happy to send your gift to that special beader in your life. 410-956-5529
When do you have sales or store events?
To be notified of special events, please fill out your email information on the “Contact Us” page. We usually send out emails once or twice a month with store updates. Also, check our “Calendar” page for store events and special store hours.
