The annual fall studio tour provides a great opportunity to engage with local artists in their studios. Each studio’s “open house” will host one or more artists and offer visitors a chance to learn about each artist’s work from the artists themselves. DESCRIPTION:This PMC\, precious metal clay class\, is designed to offer basic instruction in metal clay techniques. In this PMC calss you will learn to roll\, cut and texture your jewelry components to create your own unique pendant. You will attach your bail and inlay a CZ of your choice. Your precious metal clay pieces will be kiln fired\, tumbled to a high shine\, and then add a patina to highlight the design elements of your pendant. There is a 45-minute break during the firing time which you may have your lunch. The class starts at 9:00 and will finish around 2 pm. \nThis is a perfect opportunity to get your hands into precious metal clay\, and have fun creating your one-of-a-kind jewelry piece! \nAlterations to the particular pieces made are at the instructor’s discretion. Guests will create their own project depending on your budget\, age group\, and size of group. Our studio is large enough to accommodate 12-15 people. You are welcome to bring cupcakes\, beverages\, balloons and presents to share in the studio. Please bring plates\, napkins\, or silverware as needed. The $30 studio fee includes the use of our studio\, tools\, proper sizing and a professional finish on each jewelry piece. A reservation and the studio fee are required for all parties.
