SUMMARY:PMC Precious Metal Clay Class
DESCRIPTION:This PMC\, precious metal clay class\, is designed to offer basic instruction in metal clay techniques. In this PMC calss you will learn to roll\, cut and texture your jewelry components to create your own unique pendant. You will attach your bail and inlay a CZ of your choice. Your precious metal clay pieces will be kiln fired\, tumbled to a high shine\, and then add a patina to highlight the design elements of your pendant. There is a 45-minute break during the firing time which you may have your lunch. The class starts at 9:00 and will finish around 2 pm. \nThis is a perfect opportunity to get your hands into precious metal clay\, and have fun creating your one-of-a-kind jewelry piece! \nAlterations to the particular pieces made are at the instructor’s discretion. Barb has been crafting precious metal clay designs for many years and as a returning instructor we are delighted to see this new advanced class. Prior PMC experience is a pre-requisite to make a stunning 2 sided pendant. As always we highly encourage our students to make your piece an original. DESCRIPTION:Guest Instructor: Mike Dennis \nCold Connections Level  2:  This class builds off information learned in Mike’s level 1 class using more complicated techniques and finishes.  Class will include but not be limited to folding\, making jump rings (using jewelers saw)\, different riveting techniques\, texturing and more complex assembling of pieces. You are encouraged to bring at least one project you are working on or would like to do that requires  the “how do I put this thing together now?”  Design is one aspect of jewelry making\, how to put it together is a whole other ball of wax! \nCompletion of the Level 1 cold connections class and some experience working with jewelry tools is encouraged.
